HOW TO PAY YOUR UTILITY BILL

The City of Santa Monica bills for water, sewer, and refuse every two months. The due date for your bill is printed on the bill. Payments may be made either by mail or in person at either City Hall or at the Utilities Business Office at 1212 Fifth Street 3rd floor. The City accepts cash, checks, VISA, Master Card, Discover and ATM payments in person. VISA, Master Card or Discover payments can also be made on-line or using a touch-tone phone by calling (310) 458-8999.

If you are unable to pay by the date noted on your bill and would like to make payment arrangements, please call (310) 458-8224, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and on Fridays from 8 AM to 5 PM. Arrangements are usually done on a case-by-case basis over the phone. You may be required to come to 1212 Fifth Street to sign a payment arrangement agreement.

Failure to pay your bill will result in termination of service. Should you receive a final notice and payment has already been made, please contact the Utilities Business Office at (310) 458-8224.
