The City of Santa Monica bills for water, sewer, and refuse every two months. The due date for your bill is printed on the bill. Payments may be made either by mail, on-line, or by a touch-tone phone call to (310) 458-8999. The City accepts payment by cash, check, VISA, Master Card, American Express, and Discover cards. Payment may also be deposited in the dropbox at City Hall at 1685 Main Street or made at the Business & Revenue Operations Division - Water Billing, 1717 4th Street, Suite 150.

If you are unable to pay by the date noted on your bill and would like to make payment arrangements, please call (310) 458-8224, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on alternate Fridays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Failure to pay your bill will result in termination of service. Should you receive a final notice and payment has already been made, please contact the Business & Revenue Operations Division - Water Billing at (310) 458-8224.

Financial Assistance 

The City of Santa Monica offers low-income rates for water and sewer for qualifying families. For your convenience, you may apply for low-income rates by completing the Application for Low-Income Allowance and submitting it with supporting documentation by any of the following means:
